Every year numerous seals are injured or stranded along Cornwall’s coastline; The Cornish Seal Sanctuary works with volunteers to rescue, rehabilitate, and eventually release these seals. Visit the sanctuary to watch the resident seals splash and play, or head to the nursery pools to see the adorable pups! Dogs on leads are more than welcome to explore the 42 acres of land and woodland and can even enter the annual Fun Dog Show!
A famous nature biome attraction with thousands of plant species in uniquely climatised greenhouses. While on a lead, dogs can explore the 20 acres of outdoor gardens, the outdoor kitchen, the Core building, and café!
Home to the increasingly popular Rattler Cyder, Healey’s farm also produces award winning wines, spirits, juices, preserves, and sauces. Take a guided tour, ride the vintage tractor, meet the farm animals, or check out the 100,000 litre apple juice tanks! Healey’s Cyder Farm is dog-friendly (on a lead) everywhere except in food manufacturing areas (dogs are welcome in the restaurant!).
A safe haven for over 100 rescued donkeys and horses, Flicka Donkey Sanctuary has been offering rehabilitation to neglected animals for 25 years! Although entry is free, donations would be gratefully accepted to help cover hospital fees. Dogs are more than welcome, so long as they are on a lead.
Cornwall’s secret world of play and trains! Find everything for the perfect family day out from a train ride, woodland walks, boating lake, to even an adventure golf course! At Lappa Valley, dogs are welcome everywhere except the soft play and trampolines- yes your pampered pooch can join you on the train ride! Be sure to visit The Crib Hut for doggy ice-creams and cool down in the stream at the dedicated dog exercise field.
