12 Dog friendly restaurants to visit on your next 2025 Cornish adventure!

One of the many things Cornwall does well is food and drink! Expect freshly caught seafood, seasonal dishes, and locally brewed beers. To help you choose where to go along with your furry companion we have put together a list of 12 dog friendly restaurants all across Cornwall with a bit of something for everyone.

 

Dog friendly restaurants rated 5* on TripAdvisor:

1.        JuJu’s Tapas & Small Plates, Looe

Found in the heart of Looe, JuJu's offers a diverse selection of both classic and modern tapas dishes alongside a carefully curated wine list featuring complementary Spanish wines.  

2.        The Cove at Maenporth, Falmouth

Visit for brunch, lunch, or dinner for panoramic views of Maenporth beach and Falmouth Bay. The Cove specialises in fresh, locally sourced dishes for every occasion.  

3.        Riverside Sizzle, Saltash

Nestled under the Tamar bridge, Riverside sizzle serves everything from coffees and beers to fresh sushi and Asian meals, all alongside classic pub dishes!  

 

Dog friendly restaurants with waterside views:

1.        Wavecrest café, Lizard

All the way down to the most southernly tip of mainland Britain you can find Wavecrest café perched on the cliffs overlooking Lizard point. They have been selling food and drink to holiday makers and locals since the 1930’s and have most recently won a coastal café award!  

2.        Springtide, Charlestown

Prefer harbours over beaches? Head to Springtide to eat alongside the historic harbour of Charlestown. Springtide serves lobsters, oysters, and other local fresh seafood as well as offering a kids menu for family friendly dining.  

3.        Sam’s on the beach, Par

In this lovingly restored RNLI lifeboat house you can find views stretching over St Austell Bay through huge floor to ceiling windows perfect for uninterrupted views! Their dishes include homemade artisan pizzas, steak, salads, and fresh seafood as well as gluten-free and kid friendly options.

 

Fine dining restaurants for posh pooches:

1.        The Tartan Fox, Newquay

Nestled in a Cornish forest in a 400-year old Grade II listed building lies The Tartan fox, a Scottish-inspired, refined, and luxurious pub all curated by award winning chef Adam Handling MBE.  

2.        Four Boys, Rock

With a seasonally based menu, the Four Boys café and restaurant overlooks the estuary in Rock. Fan favourites include hand made pasta, local market fish, and focaccia bread baked in house every morning!  

3.        Indidog, Falmouth

Another Grade II listed building, this time built along the walls of Falmouth harbour boasts sweeping views across the river Fal and over to Flushing. Their dining experience takes a ‘relaxed by day, refined by night’ approach offering breakfast through to dinner with delicious drinks and cocktails!  

 

Dog friendly restaurants which are great for drinks:

1.        The Peterville Inn, St Agnes

This award-winning pub in the middle of the village of St.Agnes is also just a short distance from Trevaunance Cove and the South West coastal path. Enjoy the selection of cocktail specials created by the in-house mixologist on their sun soaked terrace!  

2.        Secret Garden, Newquay

Offering organic & biodynamic wine, delicately crafted cocktails, local Cornish beers, gins, and ciders, the Secret Garden also boasts as the best view in town! If you get peckish you can always enjoy their artisan pizzas.  

3.        Alcatraz bar and café, Perranporth

Looking out from the cliffs of Perranporth lies Alcatraz the all in one beach shop, café, and restaurant. On the lower levels you can find buckets, spades, and surf-hire all ready for a day in the dunes. Go upstairs however and you will find coffee, matcha, delicious cocktails, and even live music on the right day!
