Dry weather may not be guaranteed, but there’s still plenty to do in Cornwall this February half term! With lots of fun and educational activities on across the county, you’ll certainly find something to entertain yourselves with this February half term here.  

 

 

Eden Project – Colour Unleashed

Unleash your inner artist with the Eden Project this February half term! Take part in craft workshops; with mask making, marble painting and paper weaving. Get learning and investigate the natural world of colour. See the clever ways that artists use colour and see how fabric dyes are made. To finish a super fun day, hear colourful stories, performed by Eden’s wonderful storytellers!

Pick up a quiz booklet upon entry and keep an eye out for signs around the park to find the correct answers for the quiz! Show off your wildlife knowledge and once completed, you’ll receive a Wildlife Hero badge! Finish off a fantastic day by blowing off some steam in Paradise Park’s JungleBarn, a children’s soft play area with slides and ball pits.

Join the Bristol Explorer Dome at the National Maritime Museum this February half term and gaze in awe at their spectacular Science of the Sea shows! Learn lots of new cool science facts, with magical fog, water explosions and curious chemistry. They’ll have expert-led science shows, with fun demonstrations and audience interaction too!

Fancy getting creative? There will also be make and take workshops taking place between 12pm – 3.30pm Saturday 15thFebruary – Sunday 23rdFebruary. Create a bubble shooter with sea creatures on ready to take home and show your friends and family!

Blue Reef Aquarium – Ocean Explorers

Discover the hidden gems under the ocean at the Blue Reef Aquarium this half term! Join in with the daily rock pool experience, where you will learn about all of the interesting creatures that you can find in the rock pools in Cornwall. There is also an Ocean Explorers trail to take place in, where you can be entered into a prize draw to win a Blue Reef goody bag!

On Saturday 15thFebruary, there will be a very special guest at the aquarium… To kick off the half term, a real-life mermaid will be at the Blue Reef Aquarium! Visitors can meet and take pictures with her. Listen to her exciting tales of living under the sea and her mermaid adventures.
