Your holiday lodge in Newquay will be your base in the nation’s favourite seaside resort. The surfing capital of Europe exudes a laid back vibe and is popular with surfers, travelers and holidaymakers from all over the world. Newquay meets the Atlantic coast of Cornwall with 7 miles of stunning sandy beaches and dramatic cliff-laden vistas. Everything you could ever want to find in a seaside rental lodge holiday is available in Newquay Cornwall. With more lodges to rent than most other places in Cornwall, you’re sure to find your perfect holiday lettings accommodation.

Catering to everyone from stag-dos to young families, Newquay has so much to see and do it’s hard to list it all in one page. From its 11 beaches all within walking distance of your lodge in Newquay and the pumping surf at many of them, to a golf course, stunning gardens, an incredible selection of food and nightlife for all tastes, and plenty to keep the kids entertained. After dark in Newquay is a great time to catch local and international bands and DJs perform and if it’s your thing, you can find a really wild party in Newquay town.

From your Newquay lodge you can head out for surf lessons at one of the many surf schools in town down at Fistral beach, Towan beach, or wherever else the surf is working that day. Newquay has grown a reputation for coasteering in recent years also, which is where groups of adventure seekers scale the cliffs and coves of the stunning headlands and leap from rocky heights into the deep Atlantic Ocean. Rock climbing, quad biking and abseiling are also on offer.

For a more relaxed outing or family day in the sun away from your holiday lodge, there is a beautiful, tranquil boating lake in the 26 acre Trenance gardens, complete with rowing boats, pedalos and crazy golf on the side. Then there is the Gannel estuary; vast, dune-laden beach picnic spot popular with young families and couples. Pirate’s Quest (Buccaneer Bay / Tunnels Through Time) is a great family day out with many special events on during the summer and many independent organisations run great kids events in town and on the beaches during the summer holiday weeks, including sand sculpting, treasure hunts and team games.

There are many festivals and events throughout the year, from the town-wide fancy dress party at New Year complete with epic firework display over the harbor, to the annual Boardmasters festival in summer, with hundreds of other events I between. You can find real ale, Cornish cyder, live music and entertainment in town on any night of the week and you won’t have any problem staying truly entertained if you’re planning on getting back to your Newquay holiday lodge late at night or early in the morning.

The harbor in Newquay is one of the most photographed in the country and houses a wide variety of tourist and working fishing boats. Sea fishing charters can be booked easily in many of the numerous tourist / gift shops in town and for those not eager to catch their own dinner, the harbor hosts many fine dining seafood restaurants that do all the hard work for you in spectacularly tasty style.

Newquay lodges also offer nearby attractions including Newquay Zoo and the Blue Reef Aquarium - great days out for the family. A visit to nearby DairyLand Farmworld provides a day's entertainment for all ages in an all-weather environment and the Cornish Cyder Farm, home of the notorious Rattler Cyder is also close by and great family fun (of course, perhaps more fun for the over 18s amongst us). The Cornish Birds of Prey Centre has the largest collection of birds of prey in the Westcountry and it is possible to fly and handle one of these magnificent birds under supervision.

Our holiday lettings and lodges in Newquay allow you to experience the most popular resort in the country from its very heart. Those looking to experience all that Newquay has to offer, but also a quiet place to escape may also want to look at lodges in Mawgan Porth or lodges in Perranporth, both nearby.

The lodge was in absolutely impeccable state. Everything was clean and tidy as if we were the first people living there. We spent a month and felt at home from the first day.
All facilities (heating, shower, dishwasher, oven, microwave...) worked perfectly.
We got to visit many amazing locations around the coast of Cornwall within less than 1h.
Very recommended!!

Tamarisk at Porth Valley Retreat is a hidden gem! The views are breathtaking, especially the Sun rises and the sunsets. Surrounded by nature from the horses in the paddock to the rabbits, and the birds of prey. Oliver. The owner works hard to maintain the landscape developing a wild flower area and mowing a walkway into the field. It is so peaceful and relaxing here just what is needed on holiday. The accommodation itself is way above your regular. Static caravan. The sofas are comfortable and homely. The kitchen is well equipped with a full sized edge. Freezer and microwave oven with grill and gas hob and a full-size dishwasher in the bathroom. The shower is powerful and not like the typical caravan shower! The beds are comfortable and the bedding is to a high specification. I really can’t fault, anything here at all. I could quite happily live here. Its location is perfect for exploring all of Newquay Porth, Watergate Bay and the rest of the north of Cornwall. The rest of Cornwall is also easily accessible from this prime location. I recommended this place to all my friends and family and wouldn’t hesitate to come back. It’s exceedingly good value for money.

Owner's response:

My family and I had a lovely two week stay at Tamarisk Lodge. The hosts were so friendly and helpful. We loved how close to nature we were. Pastures for horses just outside our windows, daily bunny rabbit sightings and stunning sunset views.

The lodge itself exceeded expectation, in comparison to any other static we've ever stayed in, this lodge was extremely clean and modern, and offered great facilities. I loved having a dishwasher available, and full washing line to hang clothes and beach stuffs. The shower was a really good size and the water pressure was fantastic. On rainy days we're were extremely grateful to have use of the smart TV to watch our favourite shows.
The only comments I have regarding improvements (if you can call them that, maybe more personal preference than anything) would be some sort of shoe storage near the entrance. There were shelving available in the rooms but I was reluctant to put them there as the weather wasn't grate and everyone's shoes were either wet and muddy or wet and sandy, despite efforts to clean them off.

The only other thing would be maybe a hanging rail or hook in the bathroom to place a towel, I like to have a towel to hand as soon as I get out the shower to prevent trailing water to the other side of the bathroom (where the heated towel rail was).

Would have been nice to have some sort of laundrette on site, or cleaning service. Though the closest laundrettes weren't too far from the lodge, maybe 5-10 min drive. Having a car is a must if you're staying at Tamarisk.
Otherwise we all had an amazing stay and I will be recommending tamarisk lodge to my friends and family. I, myself will definitely be back.

Thanks Alex! (And family) you were all so lovely and you made our stay feel welcome!
