An idyllic rural location just 20 minutes from the Eden Project, Lanhydrock National Trust property and numerous beaches and fishing villages. Just 10 miles from Padstow on the Camel Trail.

Explore our 40 acre private estate encountering exceptional wildlife and rare birds such as the resident kingfishers, otters, roe deer and woodpecker.  The woodland is a carpet of bluebells and wild garlic in the spring and don't be surprised to find our small flock of Jacob sheep grazing a stones throw from your garden gate.

Cobnuts has a wonder four-poster super kingsize bed, dressing room and lounge area with TV and log burner.  The log burner and log store are at your disposal for a cosy and comfortable stay.  There is a TV/DVD & iPod dock with DAB radio. There is also a BBQ for warmer evenings. Modern "smart TV" with integrated viewing apps including Netflix.

Please ask in advance if you need a travel cot or high-chair.

We can also provide a single campbed for small children at an extra cost of £30 per booking.

Lined with independent shops, boutiques and gift stores offering all sorts of unusual trinkets and gifts, along with popular eateries and heritage architecture. Wadebridge in North Cornwall is a great base for your rental cottage holiday.

As the start/end point of the 18 mile Camel Trail, Wadebridge is popular with cyclists – both keen hobbyists and families on days out. In fact, many people hire a holiday cottage in Wadebridge specifically for the Camel Trail. Bicycle rental is available in Wadebridge if you’d prefer not to haul your own bikes to Cornwall. It’s also possible to enjoy the Camel Estuary and Camel Trail on foot or on horse-back, with walks and horse-rides for all ages and abilities along and all around the estuary and main trail.

The impressive Royal Cornwall Show takes place at Wadebridge each year in June and there is a varied local programme of events throughout the year. If your time your cottage rental holiday in Wadebridge right, then the Royal Cornwall Show will be a memorable day out for all the family. The town is really alive for show-time and a great place to experience Cornish culture in full swing. The annual folk festival is another great time to be on a rental cottage holiday in Wadebridge.

Bodmin Moor is only 15 miles away and the village of Rock is close by, with access to many water sports and the last resting place of Sir John Betjemen, who lies in St Enodoc Church. A visitor’s center dedicated to Sir John, the former Poet Laureate, can be found in the old railway station, along with a relaxing coffee lounge. Also close by, in Elgoshayle, is an historic pub dating back to the 12th century – The Earl of St. Vincent. Prideaux Place, the impressive manor house from Elizabethan times, overlooks the fishing harbor of Padstow and is only around a fifteen-minute drive from our self-catering cottages in Wadebridge.
