This beautiful, fully self contained, insulated cabin with log burner is available for short or long stays. You can hear the ocean from your bed and sit on your deck to look to the stars at night. It's the ideal place for a quiet escape, providing easy access to the coastal path, beach and, of course, waves if you are a surfer. Perfectly suitable for quiet, respectful guests looking for some peace, tranquillity and chilled time with Mother Nature!
Quirky and cosy, a fully insulated wood cabin available for someone looking for holiday accommodation that is a little different. The cabin is situated in the garden facing the hill at the back of the property so is secluded and very much your own space. It is one main space with a comfortable double bed, table with lamp, chest of drawers, television, log burner (and electric heater), good size fridge with freezer, microwave with grill / mini oven . There is also a hat stand with hangers for any clothes you wish to hang. In the unique, newly fitted mini kitchen you have a sink, drainer with hot water tap, shelves and cupboard under the sink for storage, a toaster, kettle, crockery and all you need for basic food preparation. Also newly fitted is the shower room with electric shower, mirror, shelves and toilet. Tea, coffee, logs, towels and bedding are provided. You have your own deck with porch at the front of the cabin with a table and chair. Parking is on a gravel space in front of the property and the cabin is accessed via the side of the house to the back of the garden so you are fully self contained. Here in Porthowan you will find the perfect location to relax, unwind and embrace the beauty on your door step without having to get in your car. If you are looking for comfortable, clean, affordable and flexible accommodation this the place for you. It is my desire to provide a homely holiday base from which you can enjoy magical Cornwall with its beautiful beaches, rolling surf, coastal walks and chilled out pace. We are less than a one minute stroll to the gorgeous Blue Flag beach of Porthtowan. Here you can catch a wave, hang out in the sand dunes or take to the coastal path for beautiful walks as far as you wish to go. The views are breath taking as the heath covered rocky cliffs, dotted with Cornish mine ruins, give way to the clear blue of the Atlantic Ocean and its sandy beaches. Whether a walker, a surfer or someone just looking to escape and soak up the natural beauty that is Cornwall, I hope we can offer everything you may be looking for. Porthtowan (Cornish: Porth Tewyn, meaning cove of sand dunes) is a small village in Cornwall, England which is a popular summer tourist destination. Porthtowan is on Cornwall's north Atlantic coast about 2 km (1.2 mi) west of St Agnes, 4 km (2.5 mi) north of Redruth, 10 km (6.2 mi) west of Truro and 15 km (9.3 mi) southwest of Newquay in the Cornwall and West Devon Mining Landscape, a World Heritage Site.
Porthtowan is popular with surfers and industrial archaeologists; former mine stacks and engine houses dot the landscape.
