Your holiday cottage in Newquay will be your base in the nation’s favourite seaside resort. The surfing capital of Europe exudes a laid back vibe and is popular with surfers, travelers and holidaymakers from all over the world. Newquay meets the Atlantic coast of Cornwall with 7 miles of stunning sandy beaches and dramatic cliff-laden vistas. Everything you could ever want to find in a seaside rental cottage holiday is available in Newquay Cornwall. With more cottages to rent than most other places in Cornwall, you’re sure to find your perfect holiday lettings accommodation.

Catering to everyone from stag-dos to young families, Newquay has so much to see and do it’s hard to list it all in one page. From its 11 beaches all within walking distance of your cottage in Newquay and the pumping surf at many of them, to a golf course, stunning gardens, an incredible selection of food and nightlife for all tastes, and plenty to keep the kids entertained. After dark in Newquay is a great time to catch local and international bands and DJs perform and if it’s your thing, you can find a really wild party in Newquay town.

From your Newquay cottage you can head out for surf lessons at one of the many surf schools in town down at Fistral beach, Towan beach, or wherever else the surf is working that day. Newquay has grown a reputation for coasteering in recent years also, which is where groups of adventure seekers scale the cliffs and coves of the stunning headlands and leap from rocky heights into the deep Atlantic Ocean. Rock climbing, quad biking and abseiling are also on offer.

For a more relaxed outing or family day in the sun away from your holiday cottage, there is a beautiful, tranquil boating lake in the 26 acre Trenance gardens, complete with rowing boats, pedalos and crazy golf on the side. Then there is the Gannel estuary; vast, dune-laden beach picnic spot popular with young families and couples. Pirate’s Quest (Buccaneer Bay / Tunnels Through Time) is a great family day out with many special events on during the summer and many independent organisations run great kids events in town and on the beaches during the summer holiday weeks, including sand sculpting, treasure hunts and team games.

There are many festivals and events throughout the year, from the town-wide fancy dress party at New Year complete with epic firework display over the harbor, to the annual Boardmasters festival in summer, with hundreds of other events I between. You can find real ale, Cornish cyder, live music and entertainment in town on any night of the week and you won’t have any problem staying truly entertained if you’re planning on getting back to your Newquay holiday cottage late at night or early in the morning.

The harbor in Newquay is one of the most photographed in the country and houses a wide variety of tourist and working fishing boats. Sea fishing charters can be booked easily in many of the numerous tourist / gift shops in town and for those not eager to catch their own dinner, the harbor hosts many fine dining seafood restaurants that do all the hard work for you in spectacularly tasty style.

Newquay cottages also offer nearby attractions including Newquay Zoo and the Blue Reef Aquarium - great days out for the family. A visit to nearby DairyLand Farmworld provides a day's entertainment for all ages in an all-weather environment and the Cornish Cyder Farm, home of the notorious Rattler Cyder is also close by and great family fun (of course, perhaps more fun for the over 18s amongst us). The Cornish Birds of Prey Centre has the largest collection of birds of prey in the Westcountry and it is possible to fly and handle one of these magnificent birds under supervision.

Our holiday lettings and cottages in Newquay allow you to experience the most popular resort in the country from its very heart. Those looking to experience all that Newquay has to offer, but also a quiet place to escape may also want to look at cottages in Mawgan Porth or cottages in Perranporth, both nearby.

We had a wonderful stay, the cottage is lovely, the owners are wonderful, we would definitely go back and stay again. It is worth mentioning that it is situated off a single track road and when the Board Masters event was on this became a 1 way system and so access was a little difficult during this time.

Owner's response:

Thank you for your kind words!

The Siders Web cottage certainly had Wow factor with it's round spider's web window and exposed beams. The main bedroom, lounge, dinning area and kitchen was exellent. The second bedroom was on the small size but we used the third bedroom as a dressing room which eased the situation. There is a long narrow lane to the property but it did not cause us any problems. We certainly had a very good weeks holiday

Perfect location with beautiful scenery. The cottage was very well equipped with everything needed for our one week stay. Lovely and clean and ample parking. Our only issue was the fact that you had to pay for electricity using the £2 coin meter. Yes we were aware of this as it was in the item description but probably ended up spending additional £3 per day. Also, we were informed of a DVD player so my daughter brought DVD’s however there wasn’t one. Instead this was replaced with Netflix which was great however not what we were told to expect. The high speed WiFi was also not very ‘high speed’. Despite these few issues, we had a really lovely time at Spider cottage and would consider returning there another time.

Lovely , comfortable house in beautiful, well-kept surroundings, equipped with everything necessary for a self-catering stay, but plenty of homely extras to make it feel welcoming and relaxing. One of the nicest places we have ever stayed and with friendly, attentive (but not intrusive) family owners, we would certainly recommend to others and hope to visit again in the future.

A really comfortable hideaway set in the quiet countryside, surrounded by views across the Cornish hillsides. Situated close to the beaches, and yet close enough to the hustle and bustle of Newquay, should want to visit. We had a fantastic time at the cottage, and our family (my eldest and his family) have now stayed there four times. Love it!

Unbelievably peaceful location, surrounded by wildlife (songbirds, rabbits, bats and a fox) and perfect for getting away from the busy coast in August. The garden and the sunny patio were ideal and a handy outside tap made rinsing sandy surfboards & wetsuits very straightforward. Great proximity to coast walks, surf beaches and town amenities, although a car was necessary, as the walk down the valley to Porth was down narrow lanes with occasional fast drivers. Very friendly, helpful owners. Thanks again for the cafetiere :)

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay over may halfterm. The Cottage was lovely, with everything that we needed and a lot more inside. The garden and surrounding area was beautiful and peaceful. Close to ammentities in Newquay but equally close to do me beautiful, unspoilt beaches, our favourites being Crantock and Holywell beaches, both National Trust. The owners were friendly and helpful and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend this cottage! None of us wanted to leave!

We stayed in this beautiful cottage for a week over Easter. It is close to Newquay and ideally situated to the airport, road links etc. The lovely people that own it were really helpful. The views are stunning from the cottage and we even had a little visit from the chickens. We loved it so much we are going to book again for next year.

It is in a great place for exploring the area of Cornwall around Newquay, and further afield.
The cottage itself is lovely and comfortable and is very cosy.

We stayed in this cottage in August and were blown away by its peaceful yet pristine surroundings. The horse yard is a couple of minute walk away and is perfect for the kids to pet horses and see them jumping in the sand school. The cottage it's self is a traditional stone building with plenty of interesting features, it has a circular large stained glass window half way up the stairs. Facilities are modern with two bathrooms (one handy en-suite) Large gardens with swings and slide. We walked to Porth Beach twice during our weeks stay, stuning country walk which took around 20 minutes. We will be booking next year!
