Anchorage Holiday Homes are situated in an attractive tree sheltered setting less than 300 yards from Porth beach. This family beach is within easy reach and provides vast areas of sand, rock pools and a river to make it an ideal playground for children. The Anchorage appreciates that one person in your party may smoke and we respectfully ask that they smoke outside, only. No pets allowed.
The cliff top walks are some of the most magnificent in Cornwall with views extending from Trevose Head, across Newquay Bay and as far as St Ives on a clear day. These walks also give easy access to Watergate Bay (The Extreme Academy), Whipsiderry and Lusty Glaze Beach, famous for its outdoors pursuits centre. The local shop, post office and bus stops are all within easy walking distance.
Maisonette 2 is reached by a flight of steps at the rear of the property, leading into the kitchen and lounge. Internal stairs then lead up to the bedrooms and bathroom. As there are a lot of stairs, this maisonette may not be suitable for families with young babies/children, or the elderly or infirm.
Flat 3 is all on the ground floor, so is perfect for the said families and elderly!
The Lodge, No. 4, The Anchorage is a house built for the owner, originally, and is a normal 2 storey house, on the end of the building, furnished and equipped like the others.
The spacious holiday accommodation is designed for permanent living and all are ideally equipped for the holiday maker. Each can accommodate up to four people in comfort. We can, if required, put a single sofa bed in one of the bedrooms for an extra child. Also, a cot is provided free of charge if needed.
The lounge and dining area, which has its own balcony and patio and garden, is comfortably furnished, each having a leather three piece suite, a 28 inch widescreen TV. There is a dining table and chairs. The kitchen is fully equipped and has a full sized electric cooker, fridge with small icebox, iron, vacuum cleaner, spin drier and plenty of storage cupboards. The bathroom is fully fitted and has an electric shower.
The two bedrooms, one double bedded, one twin bedded each have their own vanity units each with a wash basin, electric razor points, large mirror and large fitted wardrobes. Beds that you require are fully made up for you.
For early and late holidays storage heating is available at an additional cost of £25 per week. A £1 slot meter is provided for a contribution towards the normal electricity supply. Each property has its own lock up garage and ample parking area.
The Anchorage is situated approximately 1 ½ miles from Newquay town centre, with its shops, restaurants, nightclubs, the harbour, surfing beaches and beautiful headland. The railway, coach and bus stations are also located here. It is also very convenient for the lovely coast road to Padstow which is about 12 miles away. |
