'The Bothy’ is a
spectacular holiday cottage set in the
beautiful gardens of Poldurn.
It is what Cornish cottage holidays are all about.
It retains its
original features but remains
comfortable and cosy.
It is personally supervised by the owners and
caters for 6 people.
Children
above 10 years old welcome.
All
bed linen and towels are provided.
The holiday cottage is located on the very edge of the village of Poldurn.
The Eden project is just 2 miles away.
The cottage is 3 miles from the South coast with its historic harbours and beautiful beaches.
The North coast is 20 miles away, so all of Cornwall’s beaches and resorts are within easy reach.
Close by are some spectacular gardens. From the Abbey Gardens on Tresco, the Isles of Scilly to Cotehele on the banks of the River Tamar.

Due to the shape of Cornwall, the beach is never all that far away. Many beaches have fine eateries and excellent restaurants.
There are some world-class surfing venues and other watersports such as wind surfing, sand yachting and even coasteering, are now well organised and accessible. With 165 beaches to choose from, all types of visitors are catered for.
Cornwall offers cyclists a great variety of cycling from quiet country lanes which meander through picturesque villages and ancient harbours, to more challenging off-road routes which explore the depths of the Cornish countryside.

Designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Fowey is situated on the west bank of the River Fowey between Looe and Mevagissey, and is famous for being a place of inspiration for books written by Daphne du Maurier, who lived in Fowey for much of her later life.
Fowey is a busy sheltered deep water working port offering extensive facilities for the visiting yachtsmen, with an harbour full of pleasure craft in Summer.
It is full of character having many narrow meandering streets for you to explore and a choice of many restaurants and cafes when it's time to take a break from your activities.
Local attractions include the Eden Project, The Lost Gardens of Heligan, and the Charlestown Shipwreck Museum or there are many peaceful walks around the estuary with it's quiet waters and array of wildlife.

For a leisurely trip across the River Fal, The King Harry Ferry crosses from Feock to Philleigh and from there it is a short drive to St Mawes with it's castle built by Henry VIII and regular ferries to the bustling town of Falmouth and the Maritime Museum.
