Barn Owl Holiday Cottage is the largest cottage at Hendra Paul Holiday Cottages, there are 4 unique cottages in a courtyard set in 54 acres of private land, 5 minutes from Porth beach.

This holiday cottage has 4 bedrooms, 1 bathroom and 1 shower room.

The cottage is about half a mile from the main road, along a pretty country lane, then down a long, private drive, so is very safe and peaceful. We are 10 minutes in the car from the beautiful Watergate Bay, Fistral Beach and Newquay town centre.

Situated near Newquay, Cornwall the self catering cottage has access to the whole of Cornwall with the main A30 not far away.

Accommodation Description

It has an Entrance Porch, with antique Oak coat rack and hall table, plenty of space for outdoor shoes and boots!
French door leads into:

Dining Room

A lovely, large, double aspect room, with 2 windows, including French doors leading to the courtyard.

This room has a fabulous 19th Century Oak Refectory Table, settle and chairs, ideal for large gatherings at mealtimes, comfortably seating 8 people.
Also a lovely old Chiffonier Oak Dresser.

Doorway leads to:

Kitchen

A large, recently built kitchen, double its previous size and well equipped for 8 people.
American Fridge/Freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer, dish washer, large Range Cooker and extractor hood, microwave and all the cutlery, china, glassware, oven and table ware you will need.
Door leads to patio and the garden beyond, with own barbecue, table, benches and chairs. Lovely country views.

Another door from the kitchen leads to small hall and door off to:

Shower Room

A fully equipped Shower Room with tiled shower, toilet and wash basin. Electric towel rail.

Door from hall to:

Bathroom

This is a very pretty bathroom, which has bath, toilet and wash hand basin.
Old Washstand and the room has dual aspect windows looking over the gardens. Electric towel rail.

Also leading off the dining room are 2 bedrooms:

Bedroom 1

This has an antique, double Brass bed with Memory foam mattress, one bedside table with lamp, wardrobe and chest of drawers.
Wash hand basin and an LCD TV with Freeview.
There are French doors to the front of the cottage, over the courtyard.

Next door to this is:

Bedroom 2

This bedroom has a single 3ft Four Poster bed and another small 2ft 6in single bed, wardrobe and chest of drawers and is ideal for 2 children or an adult.
Two bedside tables with lamps. Wash hand basin.
Dual aspect windows, looking over the gardens.

Open tread stairs from the dining room lead up to:

Lounge

This is a beautiful, spacious room with high, vaulted ceiling with original old beams.
2 large leather sofas and a chair, well equipped antique bookcase, 42" Plasma screen TV, and DVD player.
Writing table and chair.
Numerous table lamps and a large, central coffee table.
Door leads outside to a small area, perhaps for a smoker in your group, and a Juliette Balcony with country views.

Door off the lounge to:

Bedroom 3

This is a lovely bedroom with a double Four Poster bed with lamps each side, and a Memory foam mattress.
There is a bedside table, wardrobe and chest of drawers, LCD TV with Freeview, and a wash hand basin.
Window looks over the courtyard.

Door from lounge to:

Bedroom 4

A pretty twin bedded room, with dual aspect windows and lovely country views.
There are twin 3ft  beds, a table and lamp, a wardrobe and dressing table.
Room for a cot in here.


This holiday cottage is equipped with the following great features:

-WiFi enabled

-Iron and Ironing Board, Vacuum Cleaner and cleaning items.

-Tasteful, matching soft furnishings, Night Storage Heaters in each room except bath and shower room, where there is one in the small hallway by the doors. Antique and country - style furniture throughout.

-Beds for the number of people booked will be fully made up for your arrival. Also 2 tea towels and bath mats are provided. Towel hire is available, so please fill in the Booking Form accordingly.

-Plenty of books to read, games to play, DVDs to watch. Many homely touches: Plants, pictures and cushions.

-Own lawn, Barbecue, patio Table, Benches and Chairs.

-Cot and High Chair free of charge, but please bring all your baby's linen and towels.
